9th Grade Participation Skills Welcome to one of the most exciting physical education classes you will experience in your educational life. We will introduce you to the following sports: Archery, Bowling, Cycling, Water Exercise, Golf, Tennis, Horseshoes, and Personal Fitness. Along with these sports, you will understand the importance of personal fitness and how to maintain healthy fitness throughout your life.

ACTIVITY JOURNAL recorded daily at www.getactivestayactive.com  Goal is 60 minutes of activity, 5 days a week!

Walkaways Each student will be required to pass of performance skills and selected response tests for each sport with 80% or above. Students will complete selected response test online using UTIPS. Students will have one attempt to achieve above 80% on each walkaway, each attempt thereafter the highest score possible will be 80%. Personal Fitness - FitnessGram Personal fitness levels will be evaluated through the FITNESSGRAM program. Students will be expected to improve their individual score each time they complete the evaluation and achieve a score in the healthy fitness for their age.
